Bravado and Fam143 to ESEA Main finals; MDL promotion secured
Both finalists for the ESEA Main Season 27 playoffs have now been determined, after Bravado narrowly edged out FeelsUnderAgeMan in a nail-biting 2-1 series in the semifinals.
It was a "one-minute-to-midnight" moment for both teams as they headed into the series, with Bravado looking to establish their place in MDL for the first time and many of the FeelsUnderAgeMan players hoping to find their way back into the league they we're forced out of this past season, due to the newly implemented age restriction.
Bravado's dreams were nearly crushed before they could gain any momentum in the series, as FeelsUnderAgeMan stunned them on Cache with a commanding 16-2 scoreline. Unwavering, Bravado managed to persevere through Inferno 16-14, despite the pressures of being on tournament point. The final map of the semifinals ended on Mirage with Bravado coming out on top yet again, by the slimmest of margins, 16-14.
In the other semifinal, Fam143 took a straightforward victory over the long-standing unit of Vikings, with Caleb "jaychancE" Davis putting up massive numbers for his squad.
This result means that both Bravado and Fam143 are guaranteed promotion to MDL for Season 28. Both teams now await for the finals to be played (currently scheduled for Thursday, April 19th) to decide who will take home the bulk of the leagues prize pool.
It should be noted that while FeelsUnderAgeMan and Vikings are not guaranteed entry to the next season of MDL, historically the 3/4th placing teams have been promoted.
