Oderus and MAKKA leave BlackOut after near-miracle MDL run
After losing out in the first round of play-offs, BlackOut have made changes to their squad. Chad "Oderus" Miller and Bryan "MAKKA" Drouillard are now free agents, looking for new teams for the upcoming ESEA Season 28.
Oderus announced his departure first, with MAKKA following up just under an hour later. Dust2.us have also learned that both players will be released from the organization without buyouts.
The two players joined the squad after the dissolution of Ghost Academy/Say No More. That Ghost Academy side was a surprise package of the previous ESEA MDL Global Challenge LAN, but fell apart afterwards.
After joining BlackOut, the team went 6-1 in ESEA MDL league play, just barely salvaging the season and squeaking into playoffs. Unfortunately, the Cinderella story came to an end last night after a swift 2-0 thrashing from Keven "AZK" Lariviere and Torqued.
This leaves the BlackOut roster as thus:
- Daniel "impsta" Whaley
- Giovanni "Fighter" Leo
- Alex "aproto" Protopapas
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo (Inactive)
Contacted by Dust2.us, a member of the team said that the pair will complete the Gfinity Winter Series playoffs run with the team, where they are currently awaiting their next opponent in the lower bracket.
