eRa lose CS:GO team due to financial trouble
Jake "SPERMY" Younan announced through Twitter that his team had left eRa, implying that the organization had failed to fulfill on it's ability to pay agreed salaries.
More light was shed on what was happening at eRa, with a former member of their Call of Duty team Embry ‘Bevils’ Bevils releasing a lengthy TwitLonger mentioning that the team had not been paid for their time at the organization.
It states that they wouldn't start being paid until they had been with eRa for 45 days, and nine days afterwards they went public with the fact they were owed around $13,000 per player. Their payment was delayed and then cancelled as "the "investor" had backed out completely."
Further trouble was sighted when their Rainbow Six Seige team also announced they were to leave the organization, with Dylan "Bosco" Bosco tweeting they left due to "issues within the org."
Dust2.us has learned that they owe their CS:GO, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege and Gears of War 4 teams at least $120,000. They also went as far as telling the CS:GO team that they are not to be paid this month, 13 days after their normal pay day at the start of the month.
A look down the Twitter feed of Chief Branding Officer William Owens is not a pretty sight, comparing his team to an Iceberg hitting the Titanic and a "Denial 2.0."
ex-eRa are currently mid-table in ESEA MDL, with a 6-5 record. This means they have a chance to reach playoffs, assuming they beat Atmosphere in their current game. They recently competed at Mad City in Chicago, finishing 5th-8th.
Their roster is as follows:
- Jake "SIDOF" Currie
- Jacob "SPERMY" Younan
- Ali "phantom" Sachs
