eUnited sign Rise Nation roster
eUnited have made a return to CS:GO by signing the Rise Nation roster, the organization have announced. The squad had drafted in two players, Skyler "Relyks" Weaver and Michael "dapr" Gulino in as uncontracted players for ESEA MDL before this, after their disappointing ESL Pro League Relegation campaign caused fractures within their camp.
Dust2.us has learned that Rise received less than the $30,000 per player they were originally seeking for Will "dazzLe" Loafman and Kaleb "moose" Jayne in the offseason. Relyks and dapr naturally had no buyouts, having never been tied to Rise in an official capacity.
Jared "osorandom" Hartman makes a return to eUnited after leaving their previous team at the end of their time with the organization, before he went on to join Rise Nation. All of the players have signed contracts for a year-long term.
This move also means that Andy "vSa" Xu, who had been dropped from the roster after the most recent Global Challenge, has been released from Rise Nation. He is now a free agent, and will next see action at the WESG 2017 World Finals. The player provided a short statement:
It was fun while it lasted, I hope them the best opening up new chapters of their careers and congrats on ECS!
The eUnited roster is now as follows:
- Brandon "Ace" Winn
- Kaleb "moose" Jayne
- Will "dazzLe" Loafman
- Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Jared "osorandom" Hartman (Coach)
dazzLe provided the following comment to Dust2.us on his new home:
Our time with Rise was a learning experience for everyone. Almost none of our original five had ever played for a professional organization before, so it was a big step for all of us and we appreciate them for the support they gave.
Disappointing results during the Pro League relegation tournament combined with differences of opinion between the players and the organization led to us not finding an agreement to re-sign and continue working together. Rise then pursued the options they had.
Once that was settled we made our roster moves, initially snagging Relyks for Jonji, then dapr for vSa. These moves were great for us, Skyler brings so much experience and dapr FRAGS. eUnited reached out to Rise after we made those moves and had some results in MDL and other online stuff.
The deal was finalized right around the start of the ECS Challenger Cup which we came out of with a spot in the next season of ECS. The combination of eUnited and our roster will propel us to the next level and we couldn’t be more excited :D
The team are currently 10-3 and sit at the top of the ESEA MDL standings as they look to secure qualification to the next Global Challenge event. The team also managed to qualifiy to ECS Season 5 through the Challenger Cup last night, beating oNe 2-1 in the lower bracket final.
Their first game under eUnited is not currently scheduled, but their remaining MDL regular season opponents are slated to be eRa, Grizzlys and Freedom 35.
