tabz out of eRa; SIDOF to step in
After winning ESEA Main Season 26, eRa surprised onlookers when they made the addition of Simon "tabz" Feldt to their side. Most known for his time in the Swedish side japaleno, he was hardly a prototypical pick-up for a rising North American squad.
Despite decent results, the tabz era of eRa has come to an end, Dust2.us has learned. The reason for the parting of ways comes down to differences of opinion on necessary roster changes being made to propel the roster forward — which has ironically resulted in tabz becoming the roster change himself.
While the player is still currently under contract with the organization, it is not expected that he will play any further matches with his former teammates. As such, coming in to replace him will be Jake "SIDOF" Currie, who has not seen Premier/MDL action since Season 25.
eRa's roster for the foreseeable future now figures to be:
- Ali "phantom" Sachs
- Wyatt "tw1ggy" Blatt
- Ben "ben1337" Smith
- Jacob "SPERMY" Younan
- Jake "SIDOF" Currie
- Simon "tabz" Feldt (Inactive)
In 2015, SIDOF was part of the SYNRGY Gaming squad that featured the likes of David "DAVEY" Stafford and Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski who placed second in ESEA Premier Season 18, earning a berth in the first season of ESL Pro League. SIDOF and teammate Chris "buZZa" Buzza were then replaced by Arya "arya" Hekmat and Abraham "abE" Fasli.
eRa's first MDL match with SIDOF will take place tonight against LFAO. The reigning Main champions will look to improve upon their 2-2 record in the league against Donovan "zNf" Froid's squad, who have just recently let Gianni "karanni" Dfana go (again.)
