ESEA announces Next Big Caster initiative
ESEA announced yesterday on Twitter that they are in search for fresh talent to cast seasonal matches in MDL, as well as the Season 27 finals later this year, in a competition they have dubbed Next Big Caster.
Those who wish to tryout need only submit a recording of themselves casting a match. Participants videos will be reviewed, and a select few will move on to the second phase of the selection process. Phase two for the advancing candidates will involve them casting the first part of the MDL season, where they can work alongside more notable talent that will help guide them along their journey.
During the last week of seasonal play, ESEA will hold a community vote to determine which of the selectees will be the Next Big Caster. The winner will be flown out to the MDL LAN Finals and will have the opportunity to sit on the analyst desk, cast matches, and interview players to further hone their skills in a professional environment.
Applications for tryouts will open later this week, but a firm date has yet to be set. The full press release can be found on ESEA's site.
