Liquid lose 2-0 to MOUZ at EPL S21
MOUZ showed their class in this matchup between 2-1 teams. Liquid didn't really have a chance, aside from the first half of the first map. MOUZ put their skill on display, showing why they won at PGL Cluj-Napoca.
The match started on Liquid's map pick of Ancient, and things looked good for the NA squad at first. Liquid jumped out to a 7-3 lead, but that was where things fell apart. Liquid took only one round the rest of the map and lost 13-8. MOUZ was propelled by Dorian "xertioN" Berman, who went 24-12, including a stellar 15-5 K/D ratio in the second half.
The match then shifted to MOUZ's pick - Nuke. Liquid started on the favored CT side, where they took a 3-1 lead after losing the pistol round. The good start would not indicate the trend of what was to happen in the rest of the map.
MOUZ took complete control and took the lead 8-4 going into their CT side. They didn't let up in the second period, putting Liquid out of their misery and taking the map 13-4 and the series 2-0. Lotan "Spinx" Giladi and Ádám "torszi" Torzsás and ran over Liquid with 21 and 20 frags apiece.
After this result, MOUZ have qualified for playoffs, with Liquid being sent down to the 2-2 group.
