E-Xolos LAZER confirm w1 departure

E-Xolos LAZER are now down to three players.

As first reported by Dust2 Brasil and Brasil Storm CS on December 12th, E-Xolos LAZER have announced the departure of William "w1" Almasan from the team's ranks. His departure follows the departure of the team's former IGL, Paulo "land1n" Felipe, in early November and sees the team in need of two additions to refill their ranks ahead of the 2025 season.

w1's departure from the Mexican organization comes just weeks before the start of ESL Challenger League Season 49 and the broader NA season. Despite the squad finishing last season, ECL S48, with a strong eighth-place finish, E-Xolos still elected to part ways with w1 and land1n, suggesting a possible change in goals for the squad in 2025.

The change is somewhat curious as w1 was the team's second-strongest performer in ECL S48, ending the league with a 1.06 rating over 30 maps. Despite this, the organization seemingly did not elect to renew with the 24-year-old rifler.

E-Xolos LAZER are now:

  • Brazil Matheus "mawth" Gonçalves

  • Brazil Alef "tatazin" Pereira

  • Brazil Daniel "danoco" Morgado

ESL Challenger League Season 49 is set to start on January 21st.
