lux is transitioning into an IGL role with Legacy

Legacy round out roster with new IGL

The Brazilian team is now complete for 2025.

Legacy finished their roster overhaul with the addition of former paiN rifler Lucas "lux" Meneghini on January 3.

The 22-year-old will become an in-game leader for the first time in his career, thus inheriting the role that belonged to Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato. Legacy had already announced the arrival of Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira, former paiN and Sharks, on January 2nd.

"I'm very happy to debut as captain alongside people I've always wanted to work with," lux wrote on X after the announcement.

Legacy hope that lux and n1ssim's additions will revitalize the squad to the point they can get more Valve Ranking points on the board and qualify for a Major again like they did when they had Marcelo "coldzera" David during the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 cycle.

lux had been open to offers since the conclusion of the Perfect World Shanghai Major as paiN chose to bench the youngster despite him averaging a 1.12 rating across 2024. lux notably helped paiN qualify for both Majors of 2024 and reach the quarterfinals of IEM Cologne 2024.

According to a report from Dust2 Brasil, paiN is in advanced talks with RED Canids over the Chilean rifler David "dav1deuS" Tapia to fill the spot left vacant by lux's departure.

Legacy are now:

  • Brazil Bruno "latto" Rebelatto

  • Brazil Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer

  • Brazil Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco

  • Brazil Vinicius "n1ssim" Pereira

  • Brazil Lucas "lux" Meneghini

  • Brazil Olavo "chucky" Napoleão (Coach)

  • Brazil Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara (Inactive)

  • Brazil Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato (Inactive)

Not until now, he'll be an IGL for the first time in his career.

Really odd move, in my opinion. He was doing just fine as a rifler.

Maybe he wants to have more control over a roster, who knows. Either way, Brazil really could use more good IGLs.
