Team One acquire ESEA Main spot of ex-Gorilla Core
After the ex-Gorilla Core roster were unable to secure funding to continue their stay in the USA, it'd appear they're set to be replaced by another Brazilian team in the same spot as Team One are set to send a team back to North America.
The move was announced by the Brazilian CS:GO and Rainbow 6 caster Otávio "bczzz" Boccuzzi. In his initial tweet, he stated that Team One had bought Gorilla Core's place in the tournament, before clarifying in a later tweet that they had instead gifted the spot to them instead.
ex-Gorilla Core, who were relegated at the end of the last ESEA MDL season, had their spot sitting in Main, and as such Team One have taken advantage of this to fast forward their run in the league. The organization will have to do this by playing with at least two of the players from the previous roster for three of the first four games of the season to maintain the spot. The two ex-Gorilla Core players set to do this will be Luigi "dukka" Castiglione and Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo.
The Team One roster in itself is untouched, however it'd appear that former coach Olavo "cky" Napoleão has also returned to the team and that Caike "caike" Costa has also joined after previously being a stand-in for the side.
The full ESEA roster for Team One is as follows:
- Pedro "Maluk3" Campos
- Victor "iDk" Torraca
- Alencar "trk" Rossato
- Jean "mch" Michel D'Olivera
- Caike "caike" Costa
- Olavo "cky" Napoleão (coach)
- Luigi "dukka" Castiglione (ESEA Stand-in)
- Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo (ESEA Stand-in)
