Dynasty and potter signed by RES Gaming

After acquiring a massive sporting facility, TRESA delves into esports by signing top female CS:GO roster Dynasty.

The Royal Emirates Sports Academy (TRESA) announced today that they look to build a foundation and home for esports in the UAE after acquiring a 1,012,396 sqft sporting facility in the heart of Dubai.

With this announcement also comes the launch of RES Gaming, a new esports organization that will set a new precedent in the Middle East for professional gaming. The newly found organization has a very progressive outlook on esports, one in which they can see it's parallels with traditional sports, and hope to broaden their regions view on the booming industry.

Accompanying these announcements is the signing of Dynasty, a team that has set the gold standard for female esports. The Dynasty roster, formerly known as Secret, have a storied history of dominating nearly every female CS:GO event since their inception, including the recent ESU Masters and Cross Border Esports's female competition.

In conjunction with this roster pick-up is the confirmation of the addition of North America's Christine "potter" Chi. After her contract expired with CLG Red, speculation as to where she would go mounted. potter has achieved six ESWC championship titles and countless other top finishes throughout Counter Strike's history.

Aras Parash Par, RES Gaming Director issued a statement in the announcement:

“We have been following the performances of the girls for the past few years and we believe that we have to pick the best players in the circuit to put RES Gaming on the map.”

Zainab "zAAz" Turkie expressed her elation regarding the news and warmly welcomed her new American cohort:

With the addition of potter, the RES Gaming roster is as follows:

  • Sweden Julia "juliano" Kiran
  • Anna "Ant1ka" Ananikva
  • Ksenia "vilga" Kluenkova
  • United States Christine "potter" Chi

In the next few months the team will be relocating to Dubai to take full advantage of all the resources at their disposal from their new organization. They will also be given the option to bootcamp in Europe before events to have access to more prominent teams to scrim with.

In closing, President of RES Gaming, Christian Wilhelmsson had this to say about the venture:

“We have faith in the ecosystem we are beginning to create here in Dubai for E-sport and I believe that we have the right people in place to make it happen. RES Gaming is a winning combination, with their strong backgrounds, we are destined for trophies and titles in the future.”

This is a really big step for the female csgo team. Not sure how effective it will actually broaden esports in the Middle East but the girls should have access to a much higher caliber of teams to practice against on that side of the world.
