nicx on LAG's Relegation aspirations: "We are very confident going into it"
After a final group stage win over Alter Iron, Nick "nicx" Lee and Derpy A$$ Kids, a team featuring a core from NoVum, advanced to the playoffs, where they would meet Slugy's Shekel Squad. The LAG rifler, who had already planned on attending the event as a spectator, was invited to join the mix team, and together, they managed to reach the playoffs.
nicx talked with Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore regarding his expectations for the Fragadelphia Tap Cut 2 with Derpy A$$ Kids, the LAG situation after losing Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula to Party Astronauts, and the Relegation tournament coming up for LAG.

You are here with a mix team called Derpy A$$ Kids and you made playoffs recently with a win over Alter Iron. How do you feel about that match against that Advanced team?
It was pretty good. It went about as good as we expected. We had the 13-0 which is pretty fun, shouldn't have lost the first map but it's still a nice win.
You guys did come back on map two with that 13-0 on Nuke to force a third map against that squad. How was the team feeling with that 13-0 against Alter Iron?
After the 13-0 we just felt like we were going to win. We just played confident on the third map and won it pretty easily.
The basis of this team is around the NoVum core, which are Fragadelphia regulars. I was wondering how did this team come together with you joining that squad alongside K2?
K2 was already on the team, it's clx who was unable to make it and a friend wanted me to go and they looked at the tickets and the tickets were $50 so I was like "why not go?", so it just happened. I was going to come anyways and then they wound up needing a sub so I just wound up playing.
You will have to play Relegation with your true team, LAG. It usually is a very pivotal competition for ECL teams, because they almost always disband if they get relegated. Is there any fear on the part of the LAG that you might not make it back to ECL? How is the mood in the team camp after being sent to the relegation tournament?
I think we are very confident going into it. There's not a lot of Advanced teams we are worried about, the best team in Advanced that could be in Relegation is undefined. That's the best team we could play, and Take Flyte is in there as well, but undefined will probably win, there's no smurf team in Relegation this season. I think it will be fine.
