Complexity downed in EWC opener
Complexity were unable to get the best of their opponent this afternoon as they fell to Virtus.pro 0-2 across Anubis and Dust2. It was an interesting series as Complexity chose to move beyond their usual favorite map pick Vertigo for Anubis.
The decision only looks worse in hindsight as Michael "Grim" Wince had one of his worst games in a long time as the rifler managed two kills in the entire map. The Americans must now battle in a best-of-one against their regional rivals M80 in the Lower Bracket in a fight for survival.
The series started on the Anubis with Johnny "JT" Theodosiou proving that IGLs can actually frag. He ended up being one of the bright spots for Complexity throughout the map, helping his team keep it so close.
Despite taking a small lead in the beginning of the map, VP roared right back to tie it up at the half. Complexity would win the second round pistol and take a 9-6 lead, but it was the last time they would win a round as the Russians scored seven in a row to take a 13-9 win.
Dust2 did not go much better as VP took a commanding 8-4 T-side lead with Complexity looking unable to find any comfort on the map. The second half somehow went even worse as Complexity failed to get a single T-side round and would fall 13-4 to lose the series 0-2.
As said before, Complexity will play M80 tomorrow morning in a BO1 elimination match at 07:55AM.
