Time to focus up

Complexity survive Brazilian scare

We’re onto Sunday

Complexity were lucky to move on this morning after facing a vibrant Brazilian squad that pushed them to the limits. The Americans did not look like their usual selves and struggled to overcome their opponents in the last two maps of the series. MIBR we’re unfortunate to not take the win as they held pivotal leads late in each map. Regardless, the Americans are headed to the semi finals tomorrow morning where they will be playing Aurora for a shot at the Grand Finals.

MIBR started the series the off on their pick of Ancient and did not let Complexity get comfortable from the start. It was 10 rounds on the T-side from the Brazilians to start things off. While Complexity responded in the second half with a few of their own, it wasn’t enough as MIBR took the 1-0 lead after a 13-8 victory.

Complexity finally got to their favorite map of Vertigo, but boy was it ugly. The Americans struggled in the beginning only to rescue a few round rounds late in the first half to make it 5-7. The CT-side was much better, but was still nervy as Complexity pulled out a 13-11 victory to force Anubis.

It was a similar story to Vertigo as Complexity made American fans sweat. With a solid 5-7 first half, things were looking good. Complexity started to find their groove in the second half and eventually pulled out a 13-10 win to secure a 2-1 series victory and the ability to play tomorrow.

Complexity will face Aurora tomorrow in the semi finals with the hope of potentially winning their final event of the spring 2024 season.
