Sonic sticks with Wildcard

Wildcard extend contract with South African rifler

Sonic won't be going anywhere.

Wildcard announced that their South Africa rifler Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek has agreed to terms with the organization for a contract extension.

Sonic will continue to ply his trade with the North American organization on a new one-year deal after joining the team this past November.

Wildcard have continued to improve since the organization acquired the core of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's Forsaken project. The team has since competed at the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR, IEM Chengdu, and finished second in this season of ESL Challenger League which grants them a spot at ESL Pro League Season 20.

Sonic's individual form has continued to be incredibly solid over the last few months. Since joining Wildcard the player has a 1.12 HLTV Rating and a 1.17 Impact Rating against all opponents. The former Envy and Cloud9 hybrid player will continue to help best support his team and help guide young Josh "JBa" Barutt to new heights.
