CCT reveal NA playoff invites
The final matches for the CCT Season 2 North America Series 1 will be played out tonight, but the eight teams invited into the playoffs have already been announced. Fans will love to see that some of their favorite teams like Nouns and Wildcard will be among the top sixteen teams fighting for their share of $25,000.
The Champion of Champions Tour has finally returned back to North America and spent the last week hosting an online swiss-system competition featuring some known, but other lesser-known squads in the competition.
Vibe, a team comprised of Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, Joshua "steel" Nissan, Braxton "swag" Pierce, and Marco "Pol0" Hernandez, were one of the more paid-attention to squads, but they failed to make waves as their only win came against Zomblers.
So far, OMiT, LAG, E-Xolos LAZER, Snakes Den, and FLUFFY AIMERS have qualified while Strife, Final Form, Akimbo, and Zomblers are still in the hunt.
Meeting them in the playoffs will be BOSS, Carpe Diem, Elevate, Legacy, Mythic, Nouns, Wildcard, and Take Flyte.
BOSS are still reeling from their roster being slowly picked apart, having no official fifth, and coach Tom "Axed" Ryan leaving after the conclusion of ESL Challenger League Season 47. Legacy have continued their dominate form in North America as they are coming off a win in ESEA Advanced and a spot at the Thunderpick World Championships this October.
Other teams to watch include Nouns and Elevate, the latter of which also recently lost their coach as playoffs begin on June 13th.
