Big Chillin set to finish season with blackpinklisa and droid
Big Chillin are set to field David "blackpinklisa" Flynn and Damian "droid" Boulware as stand-ins for the remainder of ESEA Premier Season 38 while Michael "Munk" Klotz will be sitting the remainder of the season out.
The additions to the starting lineup come after a tumultuous season for Big Chillin that has seen Blake "Elk" Swinson leave the team and retire, while Big Chillin have also had to battle with ESL over their interpretation of the emergency transfer rules.
The incoming duo will have a difficult season ahead of them as they have both been away from competitive CS:GO for some time. droid retired from CS:GO back in March after an underwhelming season with Eclipse and has since been focusing on VALORANT. He did however recently attend Fragadelphia 15 with Faceit Freedom Fighters where the Premier/Advanced mix finished in 9th-12th place after a 2-0 loss to Levitate.
blackpinklisa has been out of action since ESEA Advanced Season 35, and has since focused on VALORANT.
Regarding the rapidly thrown together roster, William "Aphotic" DeVoe admitted that the it was far from ideal, but ESL put the team in a difficult situation, and this was the best solution when the other option was letting the team die.
Big Chillin will complete the season with:
- Matt "dvl" Buechel
- Devin "Xzen" Barber
- Brendan "Melloh" Mello
- David "blackpinklisa" Flynn (Stand-in)
- Damian "droid" Boulware (Stand-in)
- Michael "Munk" Klotz (Inactive)
- William "Aphotic" DeVoe (Coach)
Big Chillin's first outing with this new temporary lineup will be against Mythic on September 16th.
