Media: FURIA interested in Imperial rifler

A report from Brazilian outlet Game Arena suggests that FURIA is interested in acquiring the services of Imperial rifler João "felps" Vasconcellos. Negotiations for the rifler have hit a snag, however, as felps and Imperial are focused on finishing out the first half of the 2024 season.

FURIA has been looking for a new player in their starting lineup since parting ways with former in-game leader Andrei "arT" Piovezan who is now part of Fluxo. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo has taken up the IGL duties for the Brazilian squad who have been using Academy member Kayke "kye" Bertolucci.

There has been some speculation that FURIA would potentially be interested in Liquid's Brazilian starlet Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, but no further reporting has been made on the subject.

The Game Arena report explains that FURIA is not looking to spend lavishly on any new singing and is taking a measured approach to whoever will eventually join the squad. The committee of former head coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira, FalleN, and owners Jaime Pádua and André Akkari are the ones deciding who the newest player will be.
