Strife enter North American CS:GO with signing of ex-Recon 5
A novel CS:GO organization, Strife, has announced their entry into the North American scene by picking up the team that had previously represented Recon 5.
When contacted by Dust2.us both Dylan "SATURN" Finch and Bobby "stamina" Eitrem sounded reinvigorated and excited for the future. stamina in particular noted:
We are super excited to work with an organization that really cares about the longevity of the North American scene. It’s super motivating to know that people still have a ton of interest in the growth of our scene, especially in CS:GO.
SATURN offered a bit more insight into the origins of Strife and how they came to be involved with the roster. Much like Extra Salt, Strife's ownership is comprised of esports-loving software engineers who were looking to invest in a CS:GO team. Strife will become the esports arm of Canadian software company, Ikarus.
SATURN is optimistic that this will be a mutually beneficial partnership:
With this team hopefully we find long term stability, and the plan is to grow Strife into a large North American esports brand.
Strife are now:
- Dylan "SATURN" Finch
- Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan
- Austin "AAustiN" Urb
- David "J0LZ" Jolin
- Bobby "stamina" Eitrem
- Ažbe "mindtr6cks" Frlan (Coach)
Strife will debut in ESEA Premier Season 38 against ONET4P this Tuesday at 8PM EDT.
