RBG replace CLASIA and ara with jitter and Axed; Secret Club disband
RBG have changed their roster ahead of their first match in ESEA Premier Season 38, cutting Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney and Troy "ara" Pollock and replacing them with Jordon "jitter" Ruggiero and Tommy "Axed" Ryan.
With the changes to RBG's lineup, Secret Club has unfortunately disbanded, although they have been struggling to stay afloat for some time following the losses of Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Ian "motm" Hardy at the start of August. The team's dissolution came in part due to ESEA Premier adopting the ESL Pro Tour rulebook, which requires teams to apply for an emergency transfer if they want to add players after the roster submission deadline.
Jadan "HexT" Postma told Dust2.us that RBG decided to cut CLASIA due to attitude issues affecting the team's cohesion. His removal marks the unfortunate end to an otherwise strong tenure with RBG, with CLASIA boasting a team-best 1.08 rating over the past four months. As for ara, HexT stated RBG removed him as they wanted a coach that was more "passionate".
CLASIA's replacement, jitter, joins RBG after spending nearly fourteen months with Secret Club. During his time with Secret Club, jitter maintained a 1.10 average rating despite the lineup going through a large number of changes since forming in June 2020. jitter is joined by one of his former coaches, Axed, who makes his return to the occupation after being removed from Secret Club in February.
With these changes, RBG are now:
- Colby "Walco" Walsh
- Jadan "HexT" Postma
- Jerric "wiz" Jiang
- Connor "chop" Sullivan
- Jordon "jitter" Ruggiero
- Tommy "Axed" Ryan (Coach)
RBG's new lineup will make its debut in ESEA Premier Season 38 on September 1st against Triumph.
