What to expect from Liquid v. G2

Well, I can safely say that nobody expected this to be one of the final matchups to determine playoff placing at IEM Dallas. Liquid are fighting for their lives while G2 seems to be pugging their way forward to potentially upsetting one of North America's last squads in the competition. Regardless of who wins, North American fans will just be happy to see one, or two, of Jake "Stewie2k" Yip, Keith "NAF" Markovic, or Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.

Liquid's last laugh

What a win that was against Falcons, but Liquid will need to be much better if they have any chance of defeating G2 today. Despite the team missing their IGL, the European squad with the American flair has proven to be a lot to handle so far this event as they dumped MOUZ out of the event late last night.

It's a Stewie world

Stewie. Man, what a player. What a ride to watch the former Major winner come back into the competitive Counter-Strike scene after a lengthy departure and actually hold his own. Nobody will say that he is a world beater and instantly ready to walk into any top team, but he has shown that he isn't a slouch either.

Stewie is a liability, but has his moments when he needs to step up (Stewie3k anyone?)

These two sides have met up twice, with each coming away with a win. Liquid were trounced in their first meeting at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 but got their revenge at IEM Chengdu a few months later. Now with their third meeting, could Liquid finally get the advantage?
