Rise release lineup due to organizational issues
Dust2.us has confirmed that Rise have released their lineup ahead of the end of their contracts due to "backend" issues within the organization. The separation comes after Rise had a strong first season of Premier that saw the team narrowly miss on playoffs with a 5-4 record.
Rise's founder Austin "Xpired" Guidry told Dust2.us that they let the lineup go ahead of the formal end date of the contracts due to being unable to re-sign them for Season 37. He mentioned that there is no bad blood between the team and the organization and that the team will "retain [their] benefits through the full term of the contract".
While Xpired didn't offer further details about the "backend" issues within the organziation, Rise have parted ways with a number of staff members over the past month including their COO, CS:GO director, and social media manager.
ex-Rise are:
- Cody "Domorin" Lutzel
- Aidan "Aidan" Higgason
- Filip "Feedalee" Mitevski
- Kevin "consti" Yi
- Richie "sherps" Sherpa
- Szymon "LAJT" Jaworski (Coach)
- Taylor "ioRascal" Hays (Analyst)
ex-Rise await the start of ESEA Premier Season 37 on May 3rd.
