Secret Club part ways with jitter; set to field Infinite in Mythic Spring Cup
Dust2.us has confirmed with Secret Club that they have parted way with Jordan "jitter" Ruggiero. Additionally, the team are set to field Gage "Infinite" Green a stand-in for the upcoming Mythic Spring Cup.
Sources close to Secret Club tell Dust2.us that jitter was removed after "ghosting" the team during the second VENN Invitational qualifier, forcing Secret Club to scramble and use three stand-ins over the course of the qualifier. Secret Club would ultimately miss out on the main event after falling to Levitate in the finals.
Since then, the team have been spotted using their coach, Franklin "FIN" Ascencio, as a stand-in for the remainder of ESEA Premier Season 36 while also fielding ImPerium's Richie "sherps" Sherpa in ESEA's second Spring Cash Cup.
While the team look for a new fifth they are set to enlist the services of Infinite for the Mythic Spring Cup, which will be the second time the NRG VALORANT player has been spotted in CS:GO in recent weeks. Prior to this he was briefly a stand-in for Recon 5 before stepping down due to post-surgery complications.
Infinite last played for NRG VALORANT in mid-February, with no official announcement being made regarding his status in the past two months. Since Infinite's last match with NRG, the team have made a number of changes, acquiring Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor from Andbox, parting ways with Ryan "shanks" Ngo, and signing Ian "tex" Botsch — seemingly building the roster without Infinite in mind.
Secret Club's lineup for Mythic Spring Cup will be:
- Adam "WolfY" Andersson
- Victor "v1c" T.
- Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan
- Collin "wrath" McSweegan
- Gage "Infinite" Green (Stand-in)
- Franklin "FIN" Ascencio (Coach)
Mythic Spring Cup is set to start on April 6th.
