tacitus finds new home post-MIBR
Former MIBR and FURIA coach Marcos "tacitus" Castilho has been announced as Fluxo's new head coach, seeing the Brazilian find a new home after being released by MIBR on March 27th. tacitus joins Fluxo as a replacement Argentine coach Joaquin "lokomotioN" Cuevas, who was cut from the team back in early February. Since then, the had been fielding analyst João "Turner" Tournier as their de-facto coach for online matches.
tacitus joins Fluxo in his first head coach role since serving as the head coach of Triumph in North America back in 2021. After serving as an assistant coach or strategic coach, tacitus has a wealth of experience at the top of the Brazilian scene and has also attended two Majors, filling in Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira on FURIA while he was serving out his coaching bug ban.
This experience will likely be prized by Fluxo as the team has yet to qualify to a single LAN in 2024 despite significant investment in 2023 to upgrade the roster. The team recently missed out on the sole South American spot in the Esports World Cup and will now be aiming to claim an ESL Pro League Season 20 spot via the South American edition of ESL Challenger League Season 47.
