100 Thieves steal Ethan from CS:GO
Earlier today, Evil Geniuses announced that Ethan "Ethan" Arnold would be departing their CS:GO roster.
This was quickly followed half an hour later by 100 Thieves announcing that the rifler would be joining their VALORANT division, and replacing Quan "dicey" Tran — at least in the short-term. The player also issued a TwitLonger, saying he is "excited for this new challenge."
Ethan joins a 100 Thieves side that is now completely composed of former CS:GO players, most notably the trio of Spencer "Hiko" Martin, Nick "nitr0" Cannella, and Joshua "steel" Nissan. He never played with any of his new teammates in CS:GO.
Ethan burst onto the CS:GO scene in 2016, joining CLG a scant six months after making his first appearance in a match covered by HLTV and with only one season of Premier under his belt. He would go on to represent NRG and Evil Geniuses (with three different logos), most notably finishing 3rd-4th at the StarLadder Berlin Major in the team's final appearance with the former organization.
The two teams are now:
Evil Geniuses CS:GO | 100 Thieves VALORANT |

Evil Geniuses' next events are slated to be ESL Pro League Season 13 and the BLAST Premier Spring Final, before which they will want to find a new fifth member. Ethan will make his debut with his new team in the third VALORANT Champions Tour qualifier, where they will be up against Luminosity, FaZe, Gen.G, TSM, NRG, and T1.
