Prospects VALORANT add tex and witmer
Prospects have announced their VALORANT lineup for the upcoming PAX Arena Invitational and it features some familiar faces from the CS:GO scene, including Shawn "witmer" Taylor, Ian "tex" Botsch, and Josh "JoshRT" Lee.
This move reunites witmer with tex, who was his longtime teammate on Monstars. Most recently witmer was a crucial piece of the puzzle for Buffdaddy's Paypal Team as they won ESEA Advanced Season 33 and received a direct promotion to ESEA MDL Season 34. However, witmer wouldn't play a single match for the newly promoted side in Season 34 and his most recent ESEA MDL matches are still from his time with tex and Monstars in ESEA MDL Season 33.
tex was a key part of that Monstars lineup, but he was also still a part of the roster when they were picked up by Morning Light for ESEA MDL Season 34. The team managed a respectable enough 8-9 record and finished just outside of playoff contention, despite things falling apart mid-season when Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce received a malicious activity ban from ESEA.
JoshRT's most recent appearance in ESEA MDL came in Season 31 when Jeff "RZU" Ngo departed Prospects for Bad News Bears. JoshRT stood in for one match against New Identity and two matches in ESEA MDL Season 31 relegation before the team was relegated and subsequently disbanded. He also had stints with Bushido Boys and Infamous.
Prospects VALORANT will be:
- Josh "JoshRT" Lee
- Hunter "BabyJ" Schline
- "diceyzx"
- Ian "tex" Botsch
- Shawn "witmer" Taylor
The team has been seeded into Group C of the PAX Arena Invitational where they will square off with the likes of Gen.G, Immortals, Mixup, and Team Mang0.
