MDL Recap Week 5 - Controlled Chaos a recipe for success
Half of ESEA MDL Season 34 is now in the books, with Chaos surging up to the top of the table on the back of four wins in Week 5.
New England Whalers and Recon 5 suffered their first losses of the season this week, both at the hands of Chaos. That was the only match of the week for Recon 5, but New England Whalers also managed to take down Swedish Canadians to pick up a big three points and close the gap near the top of the table.
Things didn't get better for Swedish Canadians as they ended up on the losing end of one of the biggest upsets of the season, falling 13-16 to Buffdaddy's Paypal Team. It was the newly-promoted side's first win of the season, suprisingly coming off of a team from the top half of the MDL table. The result was even more surprising given BPT's form against lesser MDL teams thus far, as they have failed to beat any of their current MDL opposition that were with them in ESEA Advanced during Season 33 play.
The Swedish Canadians' close Whalers loss was not nearly as much of a surprise, given that both teams are so high in this season's table. Also of note this week was the disbanding was Way 2 French, with three of the players from the roster making their way over to Big Frames.
