Limitless cut one following elimination from Advanced

After a shock elimination from Advanced playoffs, Makzwell has been shown the door at Limitless.

Following Limitless' elimination from ESEA Advanced Season 46 playoffs last night, the team have made the decision to cut long-time member Max "Makzwell" Sparrey from the lineup, bringing to an end a nearly year-long partnership.

During Makzwell's time on Limitless, the squad has gone through a number of changes and evolutions before initially reaching its most recent form under the leadership of former ATK IGL Gareth "MisteM" Ries. Despite the team featuring a number of prominent names in the NA space, they unfortunately did not the ground running to a degree that many may have expected. In particular, the team's failure to make the ESEA Advanced S46 finals after losses to niisesports and ClayMakers seemingly influenced Makzwell's removal.

Regarding Makzwell's departure, MisteM told Dust2.us that his removal was due to in-game underperformances and micro decision making issues that came after MisteM took over as IGL on the team. Makzwell largely echoed this sentiment, saying the team cut him due to overall performance issues.

Limitless are now:

  • United States Kamron "kmrn" Manii

  • United States Xavier "Locke" Barth

  • United States Ian "motm" Hardy

  • Gareth "MisteM" Ries

  • United States Chris "Jeebs" DeSantis (Coach)

Limitless seem to already be in the process of trialing a new fifth as they are playing in tonight's ESL Challenger Jonköping Open Qualifier with current 7AM NA player Tommy "corn" Eckhart.
