Twistzz and FaZe eliminated from Pro League
FaZe have likely played their last CS:GO game in history, falling 0-2 to MOUZ is a steamroller of a game that was reminiscent of yesterday's game against FURIA. For Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and his teammates, it's a tough exit from an event they looked strong in. Likewise, for a team that has been at the top of their game for the last two years, the elimination will only serve as a motivator for what CS2 can offer.
MOUZ got to strike first in the series on their pick of Mirage, coming out the game with a pistol win and sudden 3-0 lead. While FaZe would work their way back into the game, the German organization was too strong and closed out the first half with a tight 8-7 score. The second half was much better for MOUZ as their CT-side effectively repelled any and all attacks from FaZe as they closed out the first map 16-10.
FaZe was hoping to bounce back on their map pick of Inferno, but were couldn't get things going despite winning the opening pistol. After taking an early 3-0 lead, they would immediately go down 7-3 and only end the first half with five offensive rounds won. The second half went from bad to worse as MOUZ cleaned up and closed out the map 16-5 to win the series 2-0.
Twistzz and FaZe will next play IEM Sydney, which will most likely be played on Counter-Strike 2.
