FURIA down and out
That's it for FURIA in C_ounter-Strike: Global Offensive_. The young organization emerged from the bottom with its Counter-Strike team, growing into a regional behemoth. They will leave the title without a first-place finish at a major tournament, only a slight scar on an otherwise incredible history within the Americas. Their loss today against MOUZ was startling and jarring in how it went down so quickly.
The first map saw FURIA's pick of Nuke go awry from the first few rounds. FURIA would lose the pistol and only get one round from the first 12, setting them back 11-1 before finally getting something going. It was too little too late as they only managed three T-side rounds before losing the half 12-3. The second half wasn't much better as they also lost the pistol and allowed the Europeans to close it out 16-5 on their own map pick.
It wouldn't get much better on Mirage as FURIA once again went down early and they went down hard. This time, it was on their CT-side as they only managed three defensive rounds as the Europeans were too strong on their T-side. With FURIA getting their chance to attack, they couldn't do much with it as they once again were overpowered by MOUZ and crushed 16-4 on they second map to lose the series 2-0.
FURIA will be playing in the Pinnacle Cup VI and the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown in early October.
