Imperial reunite the twins for BLAST
This afternoon, Imperial announced that Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian would no longer be part of the starting lineup, with Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles joining temporarily for the BLAST Americas Showdown happening in early October.
Dust2 Brasil reports that JOTA's future with the team was already in danger, but he was kept in the squad so they could maintain the majority as they participated in IEM Cologne and ESL Pro League Season 18.
For BLAST, Henrique "HEN1" Teles will once again be joined with his brother where they have played on multiple teams together, such as Tempo Storm, Immortals, and Luminosity. Since joining 00Nation in 2021, LUCAS1 has been out of action. This will be his first competitive match since March 2022 and his first time since being on a major team in nearly two years.
LUCAS1 is no stranger to the rest of the squad, having played alongside Ricardo "boltz" Prass and coach Rafael "zakk" Fernandes on Immortals, where he, along with his brother HEN1, finished as runners up at the 2017 PGL Major Krakow.
Imperial will use the following squad for the BLAST Americas Showdown:
-
Ricardo "boltz" Prass
-
Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo

Henrique "HEN1" Teles
-
João "felps" Vasconcellos
-
