REOVA returns to CS:GO with Arena Bulls
After an almost two-year period away from the game, Turkish-American player Mert "REOVA" Bayrak has returned to CS:GO, joining Turkish team Arena Bulls.
As longtime Dust2.us readers may remember, REOVA initially retired from CS:GO all the way back in April 2018 after Grizzlys finished Season 27 with a mixed 8-8 regular season.
His most notable achievement during his time in North America was helping FRENCH CANADIANS qualify to the ELEAGUE Major Boston Americas Minor. Unfortunately, the team were forced to pull out as REOVA was not able to travel outside of the country at the time due to his permanent residence card being processed.
As a result of FRENCH CANADIANS dropping out, Misfits were invited to the Minor in their place, ultimately qualifying for their first Major ahead of Counter Logic Gaming.
Arena Bulls are hardly a household name, primarily competing in ESL Türkiye Şampiyonası, ESL's domestic league for Turkey, along with ESEA Advanced.
Arena Bulls have almost completely overhauled their roster, bringing on REOVA, Batuhan "russ" Malgaç, and Cüneyd "hatex" Baş in place of Emre "sterben" Demirci, Ekrem "l0gicman" Aydın, and Emil "Emilshe1n" Mamedov. Additionally, Timur "bishop" Şengül has moved back into a player role after being the team's coach, replacing Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.
With these changes, Arena Bulls' new roster is:
- Mert "KEY" Çelebi
- Timur "bishop" Şengül
- Batuhan "russ" Malgaç
- Cüneyd "hatex" Baş
- Mert "REOVA" Bayrak
- Onur "tesla" Şenkardeşler (Coach)
REOVA has already seen action with the team in qualifiers for IEM Katowice and DreamHack Open Leipzig, where their runs were ended by ARCRED and Na`Vi Junior, respectively. The team's first match of ESEA Advanced Season 33 Europe is set to take place on January 16th against ESPANISTAN.
