Former EG duo reunite on Danish squad
Last week Dust2.dk reported that Preasy, a new organization in the Counter-Strike scene, were on the hunt for marque signings in former fnatic AWPer Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and former EG rifler Ismail "refrezh" Ali. After confirming the addition of nicoodoz, the organization has finalized their roster with additions of refrezh and his former Coach on EG, Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg.
The Danish duo's time together on EG was short and unsuccessful with refrezh only having 12 matches for the NA side recorded on HLTV and having to play from Europe on high ping for the majority of those matches. It marked a continuation of the rifler's rough ride since leaving Heroic after a tumultuous time on Sprout's failed international lineup. Despite their time together being brief, the two must have enjoyed working with each other in that short stint as they will be reuniting on Preasy's Danish lineup.
Both Vorborg and refrezh had the majority of their success with Danish lineups. Vorborg started as esports director for Copenhagen Flames and then transitioned to coach of the team, helping them make their shock playoff run at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. refrezh hasn't been on a Danish lineup since his stint on Heroic ended in August, where he established himself as a solid tier-one rifler, but before that he was part of OpTic, Fragsters, and had two stints on Vorborg's former team Copenhagen Flames amongst others.
Vorborg will also be reuniting with former teammate nicoodoz, who was part of Copenhagen Flames' playoff run at Antwerp with Vorborg. The duo will hope that a return to their roots and some familiar faces will help get both of their careers back on an upward trend after a rough year for the pair.
Preasy's starting lineup will be:
-
Alexander "tOPZ" Miklagard
-
Alexander "Altekz" Givskov
-
Thomas "TMB" Bundsbæk
-
Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi
-
Ismail "refrezh" Ali
-
Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg (Coach)
