steel returns to compete with BNB mix in ESEA Pre-Season Circuit qualifier
Amidst all of the exciting news of former CS:GO players and coaches eyeing a return to the game, Josh "steel" Nissan has now joined that list as he is currently competing with a Bad News Bears mixteam in today's ESEA Pre-Season Circuit qualifier. The decision to pick up the mouse and launch CS:GO marks steel's first time playing in a competitive setting since 2020 with Chaos.
To back his daliance back into CS:GO, steel is playing with a roster worthy of the Bad News Bears tag. Alongside steel, is BNB alumnus Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, Brandon "bew" Roberts, recent Complexity stand-in Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek, and Umar "Umar" Qaiser, who last competed on Take Flyte. The roster has a strong mix of talent and newcomers and has already advanced to top eight in the event.
As such, it raises the question if this is the start of a new BNB roster, with Jonji telling Dust2.us that only time will tell but there is a strong chance some contingent of these players will stick together moving forward.
Bad News Bears are playing with:
-
Josh "steel" Nissan
-
Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
-
Brandon "bew" Roberts
-
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
-
Umar "Umar" Qaiser
Bad News Bears will be playing Mythic next as they look to claim a top four spot.
