Complexity earn surprise invite to Cologne

Complexity are now headed to the great nation of Germany as they have earned a surprise call up to the marquee event. The squad will be replacing fellow regional rivals paiN, who have opted to withdraw from the tournament as a member is "unavailable" for the tournament.

paiN, who have been rumored to be making extensive changes to their roster, are likely to lose the majority of players this offseason as they are re-tooling for the future. A disappointing result for the organization which reached a new height after making it to the 2023 BLAST.tv Paris Major, almost qualifying for the Legends Stage.

For Complexity, this will be a massive boost to the organization that just missed out on qualification due to a poor ESL World Ranking. The squad have also just recently added Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski in place of Justin "FaNg" Coakly in a bid to solidify themselves as a top international team. With Liquid moving on from a North American core, Complexity are now the new face of the region.

The organization will now be spending quite a bit of time in Europe between their current bootcamp, the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups, and now IEM Cologne 2023. Hopefully that time will get put to good use and quality practice as Complexity look to over-achieve since the addition of Liquid's former star.
