Liquid drown out EG in November North American player ranking
As December gets underway, we take a look back at the best performing North American players on LAN and online in the month of November. For the purposes of this ranking, the offline events used to rank players include IEM Beijing, the second group stage of ESL Pro League Season 10, CS:GO Asia Championships, and the ECS Season 8 Finals.
Jonathan "ElIGE" Jablonowski returned to place near the top of the board in November, but it was his teammate Keith "NAF" Markovic's stand-out performance at the ECS Season 8 Finals in Arlington, Texas that led to the Canadian topping the board in first place.
Evil Geniuses riflers Ethan "Ethan" Arnold and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte considerably cooled off from their second and third place finishes last month, seeing their team exit IEM Beijing and CS:GO Asia Championships in 5-6th as a result of the missing firepower. While Ethan still eeked into tenth courtesy of a 1.02 combined rating from the ECS Season 8 Finals and CAC 2019, he was the only player from his team to make an appearance in the top ten.
ATK's stellar showing during the second ESL Pro League Season 10 group stage, where they earned themselves a spot at the LAN finals in Odense, propelled two of their players into the spotlight, with Ian "motm" Hardy's 1.28 rating allowed him a third place finish over teammate Josh "oSee" Ohm.
The remainder of the leaderboard contained other players from the EPL group stage, including Singularity's Michael "dapr" Gulino and eUnited AWPer Austin "Cooper-" Abadir. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and Jake "Stewie2K" Yip brought up the bottom end, taking seventh and eighth, respectively, with the latter player dropping two places from his October placement.
Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Sterling "sterling" Allard dominated the online portion of November, helping their team make a run through the Advanced Season 32 playoffs bracket. Although the team fell to Recon 5 in the upper bracket semi-finals, cxzi's 1.30 rating and sterling's 1.23 ratings helped the team survive in the lower bracket, granting them a spot in the consolidation final.
Riot Squad members Mitch "mitch" Semago, Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, and Peter "ptr" Gurney also made appearances in the top ten as they helped their team progress to the MDL Season 32 Finals, where they will take on INTZ later this month as they hope to secure direct promotion to ESL Pro League.
