BR insider reports reunion for FalleN and fer on FURIA
Earlier today, Brazilian analyst Giovanni "gio" Deniz claimed that sources had informed him that Brazilian veteran Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo has signed a "pre-agreement" with FURIA, and that the deal may also include Fernando "fer" Alvarenga as an additional component for the roster.
This is not the first rumor to swirl around regarding a move for FalleN to FURIA. The in-game leader and AWPer was previously reported by gamearena.gg to be in the sights of FURIA as a potential signing with the player break fast approaching. This initial report only stated that Imperial and FURIA were merely in talks regarding the move, and that it was not, at the time, close to coming to fruition.
The claim by gio represents a dramatic step forward for the proceedings between FURIA and Imperial, if the information is accurate. gio states that not only is there a pre-agreement between FalleN and FURIA, but that there is also the possibly that a full contract between the two parties may have already been signed.
One ambiguity in this report is the status of fer. The Brazilian rifler, who has been out of action since November 2022, is reportedly only a possible addition for FURIA, a far more unclear state than FalleN's purported pre-contract. If fer and FalleN's move to FURIA were finalized, it would allow the duo to reunite after eight months apart, when Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian was called up to replace fer on Imperial after an early exit from the IEM Rio Major.
Following the player break, FURIA's potential roster could be:
-
Yuri "yuurih" Santos
-
Andrei "arT" Piovezan
-
Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
-
André "drop" Abreu
-
Rafael "saffee" Costa
-
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
-
Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
-
Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (Coach)
