Vitality and ZywOo finally get their Major
It's every single player's dream to win a Major. For some, the road can be long and elusive, while others can have immediate success. Today's final showed that the underdogs in GamerLegion, a squad that came out of nowhere, were able to achieve the impossible by making their way to the absolute top, defying the odds. As for Vitality, this has been their goal for months, planning their entire schedule around it.
The match would start on Overpass and while I'd like to be kind and say that it was competitive, it simply wasn't. GamerLegion were absolutely flustered on their own map pick, struggling to find any sort of success in their offense as the French were able to hold strong. An 11-4 CT side half showed that Vitality were firmly in the driver's seat, and if that wasn't enough, then winning the map 16-6 would.
Vitality could not be stopped, but they were stifled when they moved to Nuke. GamerLegion finally looked awake in the server as they fought back tirelessly against the French would be able to turn a 10-5 CT-half in their favor. With Vitality looking like they struggled, they soon turned that into a might defense as they cameback against the European mix of young stars, turning the favor and becoming victors in a 16-13 score.
Vitality have won the final CS:GO Major of 2023 and the final Major in the game's history. The team have fought tirelessly to become champions, and they have lifted the final Major trophy of this game and for Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, he is able to exit this game as a champion and making the case as one of the best to have touched the game.
