American Sniper: oSee's top plays on the road to the Champions Stage
After years of American AWPers failing to deliver when it mattered most, the region has seemingly finally found the man for the job with Josh "oSee" Ohm stepping up in a big way at the BLAST.tv Paris Major. The 23-year-old AWPer has played a massive role in Liquid's route to the Champions Stage with a consistently great performance and highlight-level plays when called upon. In honor of the "American Sniper", here are Dust2.us' top five plays from oSee at the Major.
#5: 1v2 no scope AWP kills vs. Fluxo on Ancient
While this play did not result in Liquid winning the round, oSee demonstrated lightning-quick aim against the Brazilians on Fluxo; all without using the scope on the big green gun. This match against Fluxo served as a stepping stone on Liquid's road to the Champions Stage after a dismal start versus Apeks and FORZE.
#4: 1v3 clutch post-plant defense vs. Grayhound on Anubis
Many often forget that oSee can be a wicked player on the rifles as well as the AWP. As such, let this round be a reminder as oSee mowed down three of Grayhound's players with ease to get Liquid a fifth round.
#3: 2 quick AWP kills vs. Into The Breach on Anubis
A mixture of confidence and skill let oSee engage in some unconventional combat AWPing to find two opening kills against Into The Breach. oSee's actions would ultimately see Liquid win the final round on Liquid's CT-side, setting the stage for an absolutely dominant T-side from the Americans.
#2: 4 clean kills on the B site vs. Into The Breach on Anubis
oSee was the hammer and Into The Breach were the nails in this round on Anubis as oSee cracked open the site before slamming the door shut of any chance of the Brits finding their seventh round on their CT-side.
#1: 1v3 with the AWP vs. Into The Breach on Overpass
An absolutely beautiful mix of positioning and crisp flicks resulted in oSee pulling back a round from Into The Brach that Liquid had no business winning. With opponents on all sides, oSee maintained his cool in the clutch.
With Liquid moving on to the Champions Stage, all eyes will be on oSee as Liquid look to be the ultimate dark horse in the final CS:GO Major.
