MIBR to miss CCT Online Finals 1 to attend ECL playoffs

MIBR have been quiet lately, but as everyone focuses on what's happening in Paris, the Brazilians are slowly getting a lot of games under their belt. The team has played 25 maps in just 11 days.

Thanks to such a tight schedule, MIBR have decided to opt out of playing CCT Online Finals 1 in order to play the ESL Challenger League S45 NA playoffs, as reported by Dust2 Brasil. Despite not playing in this edition of CCT Online Finals, the Brazilians also have a spot in the following iteration of the tournament, as the team won CCT North America Series 4.

Just last night, MIBR was able to secure a spot in the ECL Season 45 North America playoffs, after a 2-1 win over Snakes Den, leaving the team with just one game to play against Wildcard, who are undefeated, just like the Brazilians.

ESL Challenger League playoffs will happen at the same time as CCT Online Finals 1, with one occurring in North America and the other in Europe, MIBR had to make a decision. Unlike paiN did last season, MIBR won't miss the playoffs of ECL NA, and will try to revalidate their title from Season 44.

MIBR has won the last two editions of ESL Challenger League NA and have made it their objective to get the three-peat.
