Imperial produced the most dominant RMR showing to-date

Imperial's 16-0 win makes RMR history

The Professor is adding to the history books.

Imperial's dominating victory over LOS + oNe, aside from being impressive to watch, has the added benefit of being the first 16-0 in a Americas CS:GO RMR. Following this historic achievement for the region, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his men will no doubt be holding their heads up high as they continue to fight hard to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

Imperial hardly broke a sweat in their 0-1 elimination match versus LOS + oNe, dropping only three rounds across the entire series, all on LOS + oNe's pick of Mirage. Imperial's pick of Overpass was the real showstopper, as FalleN and co. swiftly collected the map for themselves with very little difficulty to stay alive while also leaving a footnote in the history books.

Although there have not been any 16-0 victories in previous domestic Regional Major Ranking events, there have certainly been close calls. Most notably, Complexity took down Argentine side Isurus 16-1 in the IEM Rio Americas RMR, with the North American side being only one round away from claiming the historic feat as their own.

While Imperial will no doubt be proud of this showing, the squad is still far from being in the clear, as they require at least two more victories to secure themselves a place at the Paris Major, while one more loss is all that is required to bar the Brazilians from moving on.
