Rickeh's tenure with Complexity failed to match his performances while on Rogue

Complexity part ways with Rickeh

The Australian's time in Texas is seemingly at its end.

Complexity have announced today that they have released Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland from the team, ending his eight-month tenure on Complexity.

The Australian AWPer joined Complexity at the end of 2018 as a replacement for Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker. During his tenure with the organization, Complexity struggled on the international stage, with their only achievement seeing the squad take a series off of MIBR at the ECS Season 7 finals, though the team did not make it out of their group.

Additionally, Rickeh has struggled individually, only managing a 0.96 rating against top 30 opposition offline. In a TwitLonger released last week, Rickeh attributed his lack of form due to the team not making use of "players strengths", notably not allowing him to AWP "90% of the time".

This move also follows Complexity's 1-3 exit from the StarLadder Berlin Major New Challengers stage, which was capped by Complexity's owner Jason Lake tweeting that the team's "results won’t be tolerated", hinting at changes, with Rickeh seemingly being the first change.

As a result, Complexity is now:

  • Rory "dephh" Jackson
  • United States Shahzeeb "ShahZaM" Khan
  • United States Hunter "SicK" Mims
  • United States Owen "oBo" Schlatter
  • Jamie "keita" Hall (Coach)

Complexity have little time to sort out their roster, as the team are set to compete in the DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019: North American Qualifier in five days.
