BLAST Showdown schedule set
With ESL Pro League Season 17 finally behind us after it initially began on February 22nd, BLAST Premier Spring Showdown beings to wrap up some of the general league play before the community gets fully focused on the BLAST.tv Paris Major cycle, except for IEM Rio, which is scheduled for late April and does not feature a single North American team.
This week, the Showdown will feature plenty of North American and South American favorites as they square off throughout the week to see who will get a chance to compete amongst the world's best in Washington, D.C. later this June.
The matches are spread out throughout the week to also accommodate the European Showdown which takes place at the same time as the Americas edition.
Liquid, Complexity, and FURIA will be the heavy favorites to take it home this week, while questions will surround Evil Geniuses who will be using their EG Black squad in place of the main team, following rumors about signing a European talent.
