BLAST Premier NA qualifier announced; starts Saturday

The qualifier will once again be hosted by Liga Ace Esports.

Liga Ace Esports have opened signups for the the open qualifier leading to the Ace North American Masters for Spring 2023. The winner of the Masters tournament will receive a slot in the BLAST Premier Spring Americas Showdown, hosted online between March and April.

The Ace Masters tournament will feature eight teams, six of which have been invited, in the usual BO1 GSL group stage followed by a BO3 single-elimination bracket. The final two teams will be seeded from an open qualifier hosted this Saturday and Sunday on FACEIT.

With the group stage scheduled for next weekend, March 4th and 5th, invites are expected to have already been sent, however, no announcement has been made in that regard. The playoffs will then take place on the Monday following, March 6th.

Currently only seven teams are signed up for the open qualifier, the most notable being the yur squad which recently qualified to the Americas RMR in Monterrey, Mexico. Teams interested in signing-up can find the qualifier on FACEIT here.

Joining the winning team from the Ace Masters will be Complexity, Liquid, and Evil Geniuses, who all failed to qualify to the BLAST Premier Spring Final via the Groups in January. The winner of the TG Masters, the South American qualifier, will also be present at the Showdown, however, three more open slots are yet to see an announcement of their fate.
