Boq set to step down from ESEA to pursue a new venture
Mark "Boq" Wilson has announced that he will be stepping down from his position as a Product Manager at ESEA to pursue a "new opportunity in the esports world." He worked as a contractor for ESEA for 12 seasons before the company brought him on board to manage Rank S and Rank G in April last year.
Alongside his management duties for Rank S and Rank G, Boq has made appearances as a host at a handful of events, including a number of DreamHack Opens and MDL Global Challenges. In one of Boq's follow-up tweets, he mentioned that he may once again make appearances either on or off camera at ESEA or ESL events, but that his "focus is going to be set elsewhere" as he migrates to his new position.
Boq isn't the first notable name to have left ESEA in recent months, with long-time community manager and product manager Brett "Few" Sheffield stepping down from the organization in November last year. While Few has moved on to live event production and event management, Boq's next project has yet to be revealed, with further details expected in the near future.
