MIBR to hire ex-FURIA coach
In a report from Dust2 Brasil this morning, Roque Marques states that FURIA assistant coach Marcos "tacitus" Castilho is now in prime position to join up with MIBR as their new assistant coach. This would be just less than one month since the Brazilian left FURIA in December after declining to renew his contract.
tacitus has been part of the North American region for the last few years with his coaching positions in Triumph and FURIA. He joined Triumph as an analyst in April 2020, only to ascend to the head coaching role in a matter of months. From there, the Brazilian was able to gain enough recognition to move on to FURIA in June 2021.
The coach would feature at several events, such as PGL Stockholm 2021 and PGL Antwerp 2022 while Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira remained Valve banned stemming from the coaching bug bans.
Joining MIBR is a breath of fresh air for the coach who has been part of FURIA for the last year and a half. He will be joining Bruno "BIT" Lima and Renato "nak" Nakano on the MIBR coaching staff in a bid to revitalize a team that has had to deal with the departure of Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and the impending departure of Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian. Additionally, the team is facing pressure regarding their status in the North American scene as they have not yet made a decision to play North American ECL this upcoming season just yet.
With tacitus joining MIBR, the team should line up like this for 2023:
-
Raphael "exit" Lacerda
-
Matheus "tuurtle" Anhaia
-
Jhonatan "JOTA"Willian
-
Breno "brnz4n" Poletto
-
Henrique "HEN1" Teles
-
Bruno "BIT" Lima (Coach)
-
Marcos "tacitus" Castilho (Assistant Coach)
