Davenport and Eros headline ESEA Advanced Season 43 playoffs

The regular season of ESEA Advanced Season 43 has come to an end, with the 16 teams set to fight for spots in ESL Challenger League being decided. For a large number of players in playoffs, the bracket offers a chance to return to the upper division of ESL's semi-professional league system after spending a season or more down in ESEA Advanced.

The best example of that is Davenport University, with the collegiate team finding themselves demoted from ESL Challenger Season 42 despite upgrading their squad with the addition of Estonian import Denis "swicher" Baranov. The Michigan-based team will look to dominate Advanced playoffs after crushing their opposition during the regular season with a 12-2 record and being the undisputed kings of the collegiate scene. Davenport will be facing doodlebob in their opening matchup.

Eros are in a similar situation to Davenport, with the majority of their players having tasted promotion to ECL, albeit a number of seasons ago. With a number of strong Advanced players on their books, they will look to show their 12-2 record wasn't a fluke as they take on Alexander "zander" Diaz's Take Flyte in their opening series.

Another squad to look out for in ESEA Advanced playoffs are the 11-3 Limitless squad who have continued to show strong form despite the departure of IGL Bobby "stamina" Eitrem. Additionally, 1 JIN could be prone for a deep run as a number of their players have flirted with the top of Advanced/lower levels of ECL over the years. Take Flyte is another squad worth keeping an eye on as two forfeits due to CCT gave them a lower seed than was likely due to zander and co.

Finally, Infinity and EX CINERE are outside bets for a potential Relgation run. Infinity have continued to improve following the completion of their Mexico City move while Noah "insane" Eheart is one of the more experienced IGLs in the division.
