Is it almost time to say goodbye?

FalleN on his CS career: "It's getting to a point I want to live for other stuff"

The godfather of Brazilian CS:GO has some parting words after elimination against Cloud9 last night.

Questions continue to swirl around Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and if his exemplary career is coming to an end sometime soon. FalleN has teased this event several times over the course of the last few months with him noting that he was planning to stop at the end of next year. In a post match interview with Anastasija "Heccu" Tolmačeva after Imperial were eliminated from the IEM Rio Major Challengers Stage, the IGL tried to assuage fans that he was not done just yet.

"I am planning to play one more year" the 31-year-old explained. "Because when I wanted to create this team, a lot of pieces were moved, and when I make commitments, I really want to live up to that".

However, the Professor consented that "I feel like I have to do other stuff in my life too. I am getting too drained, and with time, it is costing me more that it has value. CS, for me, has more value than anything in my life for the last 18 years, but it's getting to a point I want to live for other stuff, I want to live wtih my wife, see my family, stay at home."

In the aftermath, the Imperial captain spoke on stream with Alexandre "gAuLeS" Chiqueta' stream where he also iterated that while he was tired and times he simply did not want to play anymore, CS:GO was his passion and what he does best. He said that it was not a goodbye and would continue to go on doing things.

In an interview done with Dust2.us at the IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR, FalleN revealed,"I don't know exactly when I'm going to stop. I'm aiming to stop at the end of next year, but there are times when I want to stop now." Clearly, the topic of retirement remains at the top mind of the AWPer and it will be a sad day when he eventually leaves professional play.
