MOUZ squeak past EG

Despite a determined comeback, MOUZ held onto their winning record

Evil Geniuses have fallen down to a 1-1 record following a close loss to the ascendant MOUZ squad, with the team's youngsters proving to be the difference makers in the Bo1 bout.

Mirage started out with Evil Geniuses on quite rocky waters as MOUZ started off up 7-0 before ending their T-side up with a dominant 11-4 scoreline. Despite the odds stacked against them, EG worked to slowly claw back the round difference as they won the first five rounds of the second half in a row to climb up to 9-11, trailing the Europeans by two rounds. Unfortunately, this momentum began to die down by round 22, with MOUZ clinching the last four rounds they needed to secure their 2-0 record heading into day two.

During the map, EG newcomer Jadan "HexT" Postma struggled mightily, posting a 0.59 rating and 48.3 ADR on the map.
