Immortals pull out of ESL Pro League
Immortals have left the ESL Pro League, the tournament organizer announced on their website today. They have cited continued roster instability which renders them unable to compete in further matches. ESL has offered the now open spot in the relegation tournament to Ghost, who placed 14th in the regular season and were to be demoted to MDL. You can see the full statement on ESL's website.
Immortals CEO Noah Whinston also released a statement on Twitter about the current state of their roster, and that they would take the next two months to re-evaluate their position within the scene. Whether that means releasing their current players or keeping them, it is unkown.
João "horvy" Horvath, who will be playing for Ghost in the CyberPowerPC Extreme Gaming Series Winter Invitational, also announced that while still contracted to Immortals, will not be playing for the North American organization going forward.
This is the current roster of Immortals:
- Caio "zqk" Fonseca
- Lucas "destiny" Bullo
- Bruno "shz" Martinelli
- Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (Coach)
